Neal powers Broncos softball past Brewer Wednesday night at Coffin Field

BREWER _ The Brewer Witches hosted Hampden Academy in a night time matchup with the visiting Broncos taking home a 9-2 win.  Hampden's Cam Neal with a three run home run in the top of the first was all the Broncos needed to take home the 9-2 win over Brewer. A three run home run in the top of the first from Cam Neal, and after the first inning the pitching and fundamentals came into play allowing the Broncos to capture another win. FARMINGTON – The Broncos softball team traveled to Farmington Monday, May 23, to take on the Mt. Blue Cougars, bringing home a 13-2 win.  Hampden's Danielle Masterson had four RBI's in Monday's game. (File Photo by Ron Hawkes/MSR). Mt. Blue hurt itself with six errors allowing Hampden to score 13 runs on seven hits and eight walks. As usual in the circle Hampden was in charge with Charlee Chute pitching her second consecutive game and picking up her second win in a row. Chute pitched five innings in the mercy rule matchup. She allowed two runs, on three hits and two walks while striking out nine. At the plate for Hampden, Maya Brown (run, single, RBI); Paige Chahley (run, RBI); Allee Wellman (run); Danielle Masterson (single, run, 4RBIs); Cam Neal (single); Meaghan Delahanty (single); C.Chute (2runs); Callie Small (2runs); Emily Bishop (2singles, 3runs, RBI); and Kacey Gardner (single, 2runs, RBI). Masterson close to perfect in win over Bangor softball

BANGOR – The Rams hosted the Broncos Wednesday night in a game under the lights at Bangor High School. When the dust settled the game was a 2-0 win for the visitors.  Danielle Masterson is having an outstanding season in the circle for the Hamden Academy Broncos. (Photo by Ron Hawkes/MSR)  Danielle  Masterson was on fire in the circle for the Broncos pitching seven innings allowing one hit and one walk while striking out 19 of the 21 outs in the game. Hampden goes to 8-3 with the win and now sits in fourth place in Class A North in the Heal Point Standings. Bangor falls to 7-4, but maintains the number two spot in the Heal Point Standings. No. 1 is Brunswick with a 10-0 record.
