Neal powers Broncos softball past Brewer Wednesday night at Coffin Field

BREWER _ The Brewer Witches hosted Hampden Academy in a night time matchup with the visiting Broncos taking home a 9-2 win.  Hampden's Cam Neal with a three run home run in the top of the first was all the Broncos needed to take home the 9-2 win over Brewer. Click here to view the photo gallery from this game.  The Baltimore Orioles had a manager years ago named Earl Weaver and one of his most famous quotes was " "The key to winning baseball games is pitching, fundamentals, and three run homers."  Well, the Broncos got all of that Wednesday night. A three run home run in the top of the first from Cam Neal, and after the first inning the pitching and fundamentals came into play allowing the Broncos to capture another win. Danielle Masterson was in the circle for Hampden. After a couple of games off Masterson was a little shaky in the first inning allowing two hits and two runs, one earned. John Bapst slips past Hermon 9-8 in softball action Wednesday

BANGOR – The Crusaders picked up a Heal Point worthy win over Hermon, 9-8, Wednesday at the Union St Soccer and Softball complex.  Hermon's Olivia Johnson takes a cut during Wednesday's game in Bangor against John Bapst. With the win John Bapst goes to 6-6 on the season and sits in 10th place in the Heal Point Standings. Hermon falls to 6-4 and still sits in fourth place in the Heal Point Standings.  This was a battle all the way for both teams. Visiting Hermon got on the scoreboard first with three runs top of the first. The Hawks added another in the second, third, fourth, fifth and seventh falling just a run shy of the tie. John Bapst tied the game in the bottom of the second when they plated four runs. They scored one in the third, one in the fifth inning and the Crusaders scored another four to take the lead 9-7 and hold on for the win.  At the plate for the Crusaders, J. Ha
