Winslow ends Hermon softball season in North Class B Regional Final

(Photo by Ron Hawkes/MSR) On the day there were three shutouts, Class C started the day with #2 Mattanacook defeating #5 Orono 10-0. In the second game of the day, Class D #3 Hodgdon squeezed past #8 Machias 2-0. And the night game for Class B saw #8 Winslow defeat another higher seed beating #6 Hermon 3-0. In the Hermon-Winslow game Emma Michaud went the distance in the circle for the Black Raiders of Winslow. She pitched seven innings allowing just three hits and three walks while fanning 12 in the win.
